Missing your daily fix of Jeopardy? For the next two weeks, the fourth annual Jeopardy! Masters tournament aims to fill the void with six of the game’s top players competing in various combinations, with the finalists playing for a $500,000 grand prize in the September 8 finale. Host Ken Jennings welcomes back last year’s Masters champion, Yogesh Raut, and Season 2 winner, Victoria Groce, joined by 2025 finalist Juveria Zaheer, this year’s Tournament of Champions winner, Paolo Pasco, this year’s Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament winner, Andrew He (who participated in Masters’ first season), and JIT runner-up Long Nguyen. For those marking their calendars, the daily show returns in syndication Sept. 14.

American Masters

Stephen Colbert chokes up when attempting to read one of her poems aloud. Oprah Winfrey calls her poems “a balm in the storm. … They speak the language of my soul.” Mary Oliver (1935-2019) was a poet for people who don’t typically read poetry. An impressionistic American Masters documentary, titled Mary Oliver: Saved by the Beauty of the World, profiles the intensely private poet, winner of a 1984 Pulitzer Prize and a 1992 National Book Award, who moved millions with her writings, inspired by Walt Whitman among others and illuminated by the nature she observed in her native state of Ohio and later in her chosen home in Provincetown, Mass. Her close friend, filmmaker John Waters, Maria Shriver, and U.S. Poet Laureate Ada Limón are among the notable interviews featured, with readings by celebrities including Steve Buscemi and Helena Bonham Carter.

Untold: The Testimony of Vince Young

The sports documentary anthology returns with a revealing portrait of college gridiron star Vince Young, who led his Texas Longhorns to the National Championship at the 2006 Rose Bowl. His NFL career, which began with the Tennessee Titans, was marked by highs and lows, injuries and conflicts on and off the field. “My anger and my frustration got the best of me,” he reflects. Subjects in the coming weeks include controversial Olympic breakdancer Rachael “Raygun” Gunn and The A-Team‘s Mr. T.

America’s Got Talent

The second round of Quarterfinals brings 11 more acts back to the stage. They impressed the judges, and now it’s America’s turn to vote. The scheduled acts include singers Bety and Mackenzie Sol, duo acts Nyjah Music & Zyah Rhythm and Butter & Grit, singer/guitarist Nene Royal, rapper LaRussell, danger act Brad & Tracy, dancer Patrox, dance group Come Here, magician Geno Ploeger, and aerialist Veronika Goroshkova. Results will be announced Wednesday.

The Big Break

The golf competition returns after more than 10 years, teaming up with the links-oriented YouTube channel Good Good to showcase a dozen contestants who are taking a swing at winning the Big Break title and a coveted spot in the PGA Tour’s Good Good Championship in November. Bachelor in Paradise regular Wells Adams and former LPGA Tour pro Blair O’Neal host the 10-week tournament, titled Big Break x Good Good, from the Horseshoe Bay Resort in Texas. They’ll guide the players through challenges new and old, including the fan-favorite “Glass Break,” where they take aim at glass targets with their rivals’ names on them. Among the competitors: Good Good Golf’s Sean Walsh and Matt Meneghetti, former caddie Asaeli Marika “Bat” Batibasaga, World Long Driver Josh Jackson, and four-time U.S. Adaptive Open winner Kipp Popert, who was born with cerebral palsy.

• Dunkman (8 pm/ET, TNT, truTV, streaming on HBO Max): The World Championship airs live from the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, with the final eight master dunkers competing for a $500,000 grand prize.
• Kitchen Nightmares (8/7c, Fox): Gordon Ramsay heads to Pittsburgh’s Italian eatery Café Notte to resolve differences between the head chef and his stepson that threaten the business’s future. Followed by a new episode of Beat Shazam (9/8c).
• Kitchen Undercover (9/8c, Food Network): Antonia Lofaso and sous chef Nestor Milian bring their expertise and sizzle in a mission to repair staff morale at California’s Buena Mesa steakhouse.
• Dark Side of the Ring (9/8c, Vice TV): The Season 7 finale examines the career of amputee wrestler Zach Gowen.
• Baylen Out Loud (9/8c, TLC): The season ends with Baylen and her groom Colin saying their “vows out loud.”
• Password (10/9c, NBC): Talk-show host and Queer Eye alum Karamo Brown plays the word game opposite Jimmy Fallon.
• 1,000-LB Roomies (10/9c, TLC): The reality show’s second season opens with Jaz in bed after her weight-loss surgery and roomie Nesha looking for ways to make money.

ON THE STREAM:

• Stamptown (streaming on Netflix): A raunchy variety show staged during the Netflix Is a Joke Festival takes on an unhinged circus-like atmosphere.
• Cousins (streaming on MHz Choice): A nine-part South African drama set in the 1980s depicts a detective’s decades-long campaign to bring justice to the murderers of his sister and cousin in 1966.
• The Good Ship Murder (streaming on BritBox): The third season of the British light mystery opens with ex-detective and cabaret singer Jack (Shayne Ward) working his way back onto the cruise ship after being sacked, helping First Officer Kate (Catherine Tyldesley) solve a murder in a monastery in the bargain.
