What To Know

  • Jimmy Kimmel mocked Donald Trump’s behavior at the G7 summit in France.
  • Kimmel described Trump’s actions as childish and sympathized with other world leaders who have to deal with him.
  • He shared a group photo from the summit, which he called the “saddest photo” of the president ever.

Jimmy Kimmel shared his thoughts on Donald Trump‘s visit to France for the G7 summit this week, which resulted in what he believes is the “saddest photo” of the president ever.

“Donald Trump’s having quite a day today,” the late-night host said at the top of Wednesday’s (June 17) Jimmy Kimmel Live! “The president was in France tonight, throwing his weight around at the G7 summit. Les Misérablob showed up 45 minutes late for a meeting with all the other world leaders. He made everybody wait for him.”

He showed a clip of Trump arriving at the meeting, where he sort of jokingly told the other world leaders, “I’m the boss.”

“Oh man, they must hate him so much, right?” Kimmel said. “I mean, can you imagine the conversations that go on behind his back?”

The comedian highlighted Trump’s various complaints during the meeting, including the height of his chair and the room’s temperature. “Look at him,” Kimmel stated. “He’s all steamed up from that walk around the table.”

“Trump’s behavior at the G7 is increasingly childish each time he goes,” he went on. “These other foreign leaders, I feel sorry for them. I really do. Dealing with him, it’s like opening a can of soda that got shaken up. You know it’s gonna spray. All you can really do is try to aim it away from your face.”

Kimmel then shared two photos from the summit that summed up the world’s true thoughts about Trump. “This tells you all you need to know about what these people think of him,” he said. “This is the group photo they took, and they do this every year. Now there he is right in the middle.”

The first photo showed Trump standing alongside the other world leaders. Kimmel then shared a second photo, where the group disbands, leaving Trump on his own in the middle.

“They break it up, and everybody goes their separate ways, and who is finally left by himself?” Kimmel stated. “That’s right. That might be the saddest photo I’ve ever seen.”

“This is what happens to Matt Damon every time the director yells cut,” he added, referring to his long-running joke feud with the Bourne Identity actor.
