Joanna Gaines used some of her favorite songs to tease her latest TV project.
In a Tuesday, July 14, Instagram post, Gaines shared a video of herself running through a field, set to three different songs: the Little House on the Prairie theme song, “The Sound of Music” from The Sound of Music, and “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler.
“These three songs are the daily soundtrack playing in my head,” she captioned the post. “Anyways, we are working on an exciting project we can’t wait to share with you soon! @magnolianetwork.”
Fans reacted to the fun video in the post’s comments and shared their theories about what the show could be. “Tell me you’re an ’80s kid without telling me you’re an ’80s kid,” one user quipped. Another jokingly guessed, “You’re rebuilding a little house on the prairie of Switzerland, in memory of Bonnie Tyler?”
Someone else shared, “Those views! Looks like a perfect spot for a cute little school.” A different person posted, “Please tell me y’all are bringing back Fixer Upper. I need it back in my life!” A separate commenter asked, “Another season of Back to the Frontier??!!”
Back to the Frontier, which premiered on Magnolia Network last year, followed three families as they traded in modern comforts to experience life as pioneers in the 1800s. The show has been confirmed for a second season, as Magnolia Network announced an open casting call for the new episodes back in December 2025.
Gaines’ post didn’t confirm any details about the series or how involved she will be with the show. Joanna and her husband, Chip Gaines, rose to fame on HGTV‘s Fixer Upper and launched Magnolia Network in 2022.
The couple has appeared on, and executive produced, many of the network’s shows over the years, such as Roller Jam, Gingerbread Land: The Biggest Little Holiday Competition, Fixer Upper: Welcome Home, Fixer Upper: The Castle, Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House, and more.

Gaines frequently shares updates on her latest projects via social media. Earlier this week, she revealed that several properties she and Chip renovated are currently up for sale, including the castle from Fixer Upper: The Castle.
“It’s been such a privilege to restore these one-of-a-kind properties and share them with you over the years. As we look ahead to what’s next, it feels like the right time for these three special places to begin a new chapter,” she wrote alongside Instagram footage of the properties on Monday, July 13. “The Castle, Gristmill, and Hillcrest Estate are officially on the market with @MagnoliaRealty.”
