An old adage warns people shouldn’t bring their work home with them, but some people make it work. Actor Jon Hamm, for example, works alongside his real-life wife on one of his recent shows. In fact, the actor admitted that there are quite a few benefits to working alongside each other.
Jon Hamm & His Wife, Anna Osceola, Married In 2023
As an actor, Hamm is best known for playing Don Draper on the period drama Mad Men. Since then, he has taken on leading roles in a number of drama series.
These include Fargo and Landman. In 2025, he was cast as Andrew “Coop” Cooper on Your Friends & Neighbors. The dark comedy drama series sees Hamm’s character lose his job and use criminal methods to keep up his lifestyle.

While Hamm’s character, Coop, is recently divorced, Hamm himself is married to Anna Osceola, with the two having tied the knot in 2023. She might especially be familiar to fans of Your Friends & Neighbors, as she plays Maggie Haber, a member of his neighborhood friend group, on the series.
This isn’t the first time that the two have worked on a show together. Anna has also appeared on episodes of Mad Men and Grimsburg, where Hamm voices Marvin Flute. Her Mad Men appearance was in 2015, before the two were married.
In a recent conversation with People, Hamm talked about what it was like working alongside his real-life spouse. He shared, “It was great to have my wife, Anna, come in and be a part of it,” adding, “It’s fun to go to work together.”
In fact, Jon listed a few benefits of him and Anna working together. He divulged, “We get to bring the dog in as well sometimes, so that’s nice. We save money on dog sitting.”
The actor noted that working together saves them on other things, too. As he noted, since they are on set together, he and his wife don’t have “to have an hour-long conversation on what I did at work.” In other words, “We can save all that time… It’s great.”
Hamm Also Revealed Something He Grew To Understand About His Character
On April 3, the series recently returned for its second season. Fans will see more conflict as a new neighbor, Owen Ashe, playing by James Marsden, threatens to expose Coop’s dark secrets.
During the conversation, Hamm looked at what his character will face this season. He shared, “I think his whole season is kind of him really looking at his situation that he has gotten himself into and understanding that it’s not sustainable.”
“And he better figure out a way to get out of this [with] it seemingly getting more and more complicated and convoluted. Obviously, having James, this incredible character who is an agent of chaos, makes it a lot more difficult.”
Hamm also admitted that he’s started to understand Coop’s journey as he tries to support his family, even with underhanded methods. He shared, “He deeply cares about his ex-wife and his parents and his sister. I think that all of those things are what redeem Coop when we see him doing the bad things that he does.”
As the outlet noted, the drama has already been renewed for a third season. Currently, new episodes of the second season drop on Fridays on Apple TV.
