Judith Sheindlin became known to the world as “Judge Judy,” one of the most famous judges on American television. However, after a career spanning decades, this chapter of her life is set to come to an end. However, she recently talked about what’s next. In fact, there are a few things for fans to expect that are right around the corner.
Judith Sheindlin Became A Household Name Thanks To Judge Judy, Which Was Followed By Judy Justice
Sheindlin is an attorney and television personality. She became known to many through her namesake court show, Judge Judy.
This series ran for 25 seasons from 1996 to 2021. Following this, Sheindlin launched the Judy Justice spin-off on IMDb TV. In addition, she also founded her own production company, Queen Bee Productions, which produced the courtroom series Hot Bench, which has also been running since 2014.

However, Judy Justice is set to air its final episode this October. Following this, Sheindlin is expected to step away from the spotlight and retire from on-camera court work.
During a recent interview with People, Sheindlin expressed, “I have a lot of other things of interest.” As she explained, this included afternoon naps and spending time with family. However, this doesn’t mean that she plans to step away from media altogether.
Sheindlin Will Be Stepping Behind The Scenes, Complete With An Animated Series
In fact, Sheindlin shared that she’s developing an adult animated series based on the viral AI Baby Judge Judy videos. As she explained, “I don’t want to do hair and makeup anymore, but I still want my message to get out there.”
Sheindlin will also remain behind the scenes as she produces her son’s show, Adam’s Law. This syndicated court show is hosted by her son, Adam Levy, and is set to debut on September 14. Sheindlin shared, “There aren’t a lot of people who can carry a half hour on their own unscripted. He has what it takes.”

Sheindlin’s retirement also comes out after spending thirty years as a television judge. Fittingly, this also comes out as CBS is set to pay tribute to her career with a 30th anniversary special, Judge Judy: Unfiltered, Unforgettable, set to air on September 22. Looking back at her career spanning decades, she shared, “I don’t have to prove anything else. I did it.”
