Never heard of Juiced? There’s a reason. The one-off hidden camera prank show starring O.J. Simpson was released as a pay-per-view event, released on DVD, and otherwise mostly forgotten by the world … until now, at least.
Investigation Discovery is bringing the ill-advised 2006 series back into the spotlight with a four-part docuseries, OJ Unseen: Exploitation of Evil, which chronicles the story behind this reality blunder.

The docuseries will air on back-to-back nights on Tuesday, September 8, and Wednesday, September 9, at 9/8c on ID. It will also be available to stream on HBO Max.
What is OJ Unseen: Exploitation of Evil about?
The description for the series tells us it’s “the first documentary to chronicle and thoroughly investigate the making of Juiced, exposing the toxic collision of celebrity, media, and spectacle during an era when exploitation was increasingly packaged as entertainment.”
“Drawing on unearthed footage and behind-the-scenes access, the docuseries traces the show’s evolution from audacious concept to troubled production, capturing the increasingly volatile atmosphere that unfolded both behind and in front of the cameras. At the center of the story are revealing interviews with Simpson himself, providing context for how the project was shaped at the time and his endless pursuit of notoriety through entertainment – a fixation that remained with him until his death,” the description continues.

ID also teased the documentary’s relevations about Juiced: “An extreme experiment in the reality TV genre during a time that fused shock value and celebrity culture at any cost, for Simpson, the show was a misguided and desperate attempt to rehabilitate his public image. But just as producers were about to launch this ill-fated attempt to blend reality television with the crime of the century, a mystery saboteur brought the whole thing crashing down from within.”
Is there a trailer for OJ Unseen: Exploitation of Evil?
Yep. ID has revealed the above-embedded trailer, and in it, we get the first glimpse at some of the archival footage from the show, including Simpson pretending to sell a whie Bronco, the same car he famously drove after being suspected in the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, and donning a mask. At the end of his pranks, he says in the trailer footage, “You got juiced.” The trailer also features interviewees who indicate that the prank show was designed to “get O.J.’s confession.”
