Doubling Down with the Derricos star, Karen Derrico, has found herself under arrest after making threats against her ex-husband and her children. Keep reading to find out what we know so far.
Karen Derrico Makes Death Threats
Karen and Deon Derrico made a name for themselves after having 14 children and getting a show on TLC. Fans followed the show for 5 seasons, eventually ending with the couple getting their dream home. However, things quickly changed, and the couple got a divorce before Season 6 could ever air.
Things have taken an extreme turn for the worse now.
Karen is in huge trouble after making death threats against her ex-husband and children. The TLC star was put under arrest in Las Vegas.
According to TMZ, the star was charged with “harassment, violating a restraining order, preventing a witness from testifying through threat of violence, and aggravated stalking.”
Karen and her husband, Deon, got divorced in 2024; however, it seems like things have only gotten worse since their split. Apparently, she has been sending emails to her ex-husband with disturbing content about killing him and not caring if she goes to jail. Not only that, but she brought her 14 kids into it. She told Deon that she would kill any of the kids who sided with Deon in their divorce.
Needless to say, Deon has already filed a restraining order against Karen. However, this hasn’t stopped her from making threats. She once again threatened to kill Deon if he showed up to the court hearing for the restraining order.
Where Is She Now?
After her arrest, Karen was able to get out of jail on a $2,000 bond. And, according to her, this story isn’t even true.
Karen’s attorney is actually blaming Deon for all of this. She says that Deon is sending the emails to himself to frame his ex-wife to get her sent to jail. As any mother would, Karen is claiming that she would never harm her children.
Deon and Karen’s Relationship
Of course, as most TV families do, Deon and Karen seemed to have a strong relationship before their divorce. The couple had several back-to-back traumatic events happen; however, they still seemed committed to taking care of their children together. Clearly, that is all out the window now. Regardless of who is sending the emails, they are certainly not in a good place anymore.
