We’ll take all the bacon for a barbecue, Ken! The Jeopardy! host shared some “personal news” about a barbecue that he hosted.
“Some personal news: I just fried over 100 strips of bacon,” Ken Jennings wrote in an Instagram post on September 13. “Experience has taught us that no matter how much bacon you have to put on burgers at your BBQ, people will eat all the bacon.”
Jennings knelt down in his kitchen next to a huge plate of bacon. The stack on the plate looked to be at least five inches high, stacked in neat rows.
What looked like rolls, napkins, and other items needed for the BBQ were seen behind him. He wore a plain Late Show T-shirt and had a slight smile in the photo.
It is not clear what the event was for the BBQ. Ken and his wife, Mindy, celebrate their wedding anniversary on September 16, so maybe it was a pre-celebration for that.
He also could have been celebrating Jeopardy! returning, which starts a new season on Monday, September 14. Or it could have just been a late-summer BBQ. Jennings spends his time off in Seattle, Washington, with his family, despite filming the game show in California.
One fan asked if Jennings cooked them in the oven since it’s easier. The game show host replied, “Oven is easier, but griddle always turns out better, so I don’t cut corners!” Many other fans told him to cook them in the oven the next time.
“I always laugh when I hear ‘leftover bacon’.. like, what in the world is that?” another fan commented.
“Leftover bacon cracks me up as much as leftover wine. There is no such thing lol,” a fan replied.
“I’ll take ‘the limit does not exist, for 1,000, Ken,” another commented, referencing the famous Mean Girls line.
“You’re ruining the bacon by adding burgers to it,” one fan joked.
