Bravo viewers watched the early days of Kim Zolciak’s relationship with Kroy Biermann. Their wedding and life after marriage were documented on Don’t Be Tardy. But their marriage fell apart after over a decade together.
The RHOA alum filed for divorce in May 2023. They dismissed the filing in July in an attempt to repair their relationship. It didn’t work. Kroy Biermann filed for divorce again in August. They’ve been locked in court battles for three years. The former couple lost their Atlanta mansion and have faced mounting financial troubles. Their four children are caught in the crosshairs of the bitter feud.
Kim Zolciak’s Ex Seeks Emergency Custody Amid Abuse Allegations
Kim Zolciak had two daughters when she met Kroy Biermann. He happily became their stepdad and even legally adopted them. He isn’t as close to his stepkids as he used to be. The former couple had four children during their marriage, KJ, Kash, and twins Kaia and Kane.
Kroy Biermann got emergency custody of the four minor children in June. He claimed that Kim Zolciak neglected the kids and left the country. She was filming an upcoming reality show for Amazon.
According to Us Weekly, the former NFL player filed new documents in court claiming his ex-wife is mentally and physically abusive. “A true emergency does exist that directly impacts the mental and physical well-being of the minor children,” the documents alleged.
Through his attorney, Kroy Biermann slammed criticism of court-ordered appointees trying to save the kids. “These children are suffering ongoing mental abuse at the hands of [Zolciak],” the documents claimed. The damage could be “irreparable” if the courts don’t intervene.
The documents didn’t include examples of any alleged mental or physical abuse. Kim Zolciak filed a response in June, claiming that her minor kids call her all the time to ask for food because her ex doesn’t feed them. Kroy Biermann denied the claims.
