Kristin Cavallari Speaks Out About Dad
Kristin actually cut her dad Dennis Cavallari out of her life two years ago. She is just now speaking out about what happened. Us Magazine shared what Kristin had to say on her “Let’s Be Honest” podcast with guest Dr. Sherrie Campbell.
She said, “How I got my dad out of my life was something happened with my kids, and it crossed the line. And I was like, ‘You know what? I’m f—ing done.’ And he blamed me for it, like, threw everything back in my face.” Kristin went on to say, “I was always like, ‘I can take it … I can take the abuse.’ I have my whole life,” Kristin continued. “But it’s like when you start now messing with my kids, I’m not doing it.”
Kristin has three children with her ex-husband football player Jay Cutler. They have sons Camden, 11, and Jaxon, 9, and daughter Saylor, 8.
Kristin never actually revealed what happened, though. The fans would love to hear the whole story about what was enough for her to cut her dad out of her life, but she is keeping that part a secret. It doesn’t seem like she regrets the decision at all, though.
Realizing Her Dad Was a Narcissist
It was a big realization when she finally figured out that her dad was a narcissist. Kristin said she was an adult before she figured this out. One thing she knew was that she never wanted to be around him. It is obvious their relationship was strained before she finally cut him out of her life. He was close with her brother, though.
Kristin seems like she is happy with her decision now that she knows what her dad is really like. It had to be a hard realization for her, but she is moving on and enjoying life.
