June “Mama June” Shannon and her boyfriend Justin Stroud walked into a weight loss surgeon’s office in California, six years after her gastric sleeve surgery. According to The Sun, the pair were spotted making their way into the offices of Dr. Michael Feiz. He happens to be the same doctor who did her surgery back in 2016.
It appears that the reality star has packed on the pounds recently. She’s attributed it to getting sober.
The woman most famously known as Honey Boo Boo’s mother opened up last week. Last Thursday, she celebrated two years of sobriety from drugs and alcohol. However, that doesn’t mean that her struggles are over. In fact, she admitted that she’s got a food addiction that has reared its ugly head. That’s resulted in her gaining quite a bit of weight back.
Mama June Packing On The Pounds As Part Of Recovery
Not long after talking about the weight gain, she was seen visiting the man who helped her lose the pounds years ago. It’s not entirely clear what happened in this particular visit. She was in and out in less than an hour. That could simply mean that she went in for a checkup. It could also mean she set an appointment.
It seems as if the timing of the visit isn’t a coincidence. Talking about how she gained weight and then seeing that doctor seems relevant. It’s also no entirely clear what the doctor would tell Mama June.
What is known is that her trip to the doctor’s office was part of a larger getaway to sunny southern California. She and her new bad boy love took in a fair during the trip as well. They also canoodled on a carousel and went for a hike.
The entire relationship could look perfect from the outside. However, all of this was going on while he has an outstanding warrant for his arrest back in Alabama.
Justin A Wanted Man
A law enforcement contact involved in Justin’s case exclusively revealed to The Sun that there is “an open warrant out for his arrest.” The source added law enforcement wants to speak to Justin. That might be one of the reasons the pair are out in California.
Justin had violated his probation from an arrest in 2020, according to court documents previously obtained by the media. The documents revealed that a warrant was issued for Justin’s arrest after he failed to appear for meetings with his Alabama probation officer in October, just days after he was seen with the star showing off his new tattoo in Atlanta, Georgia.
It appears that Mama June’s boyfriend failed a drug test. That is interesting if only because of her supposed clean and sober approach these days. One has to wonder if the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star has more going on that has led to packing on the pounds.
