Mama June Shannon openly disliked her daughter, Jessica Shannon’s partner, Shyann McCant. So, when they got engaged, she was less than thrilled, but still rallied to throw them a wedding. Now, the two have split and are going their own ways, with June making her own assumptions. One that she made was that Shyann used Jessica for money. Shyann McCant Is Done With June
Mama June always believed that Shyann McCant controlled Jessica Shannon. That was one of the reasons she never liked her or supported their union. Ultimately, Jessica and Shyann got married, which June paid for. However, they had to do it her way, something they were able to manipulate thanks to Josh Efird. Recently, Jessica and Shyann revealed that they were separating and ending their marriage. June had to have her say and, of course, she was unkind.
She went live and discussed the ending of Jessica and Shyann’s marriage, although no one thought she would be upset. Before she did this, June did note that it was a genuine marriage and was not done for ratings. Rather, they had been legally married for over a year, and it just did not work out the way that they had hoped. However, not long after, she went on a rampage and called out Shyann:
“ … I mean, if your child was in a f**king relationship are you the problem? Are you the thing?! Jessica never really came to any of us about the problems with Jessica and Shyann, never! Like, [Shyann felt that] ‘My money is my money, and also Jessica’s money is my money.’”
Immediately, Shyann responded to what Mama June alleged and refuted it. She wanted to know where this supposed money was that June claimed she was after. It seemed that there was no cash to speak of. Moreover, viewers had seen Jessica sleep on Pumpkin Efird’s couch until she met Shyann McCant. That was when she got a place and regained her independence.
Fans Side With June
Although it is a struggle, fans seem to side with Georgia-based Mama June on this one. In the Family Crisis season finale, it was revealed that Josh Efird had slept with Shyann McCant with Jessica Shannon in the room. The hope was to get her pregnant so they would not have to get a donor, but it blew up in their faces. This seemingly was the ultimate betrayal, and now, viewers believe that June was right about Shyann from the start:
