Meri Brown was spotted in photos at the big family event for Gwendlyn who tied the knot with Beatriz Queiroz on July 15. Some Sister Wives fans felt a bit surprised given that some of the adult kids in the TLC family previously accused her of abusive behavior. Meanwhile, other people who one would expect to see didn’t attend.
Meri Brown Was Accused Of Abusive Behavior
Gwendlyn’s brother Paedon recently talked about Kody Brown’s former first wife allegedly being abusive with the kids. Chatting with influencer John Yates, he said he didn’t want to say too much as his family relies on the TLC show for their income. Whereupon, he sang like a bird and insinuated that Leon’s mom might have been both emotionally and physically abusive. Additionally, spoilers suggested that once, when they were filming, Christine became upset because of nasty behavior toward the children.
About two years ago, it became obvious to Sister Wives fans that Meri Brown had a fallout with Janelle’s daughter, Maddie Brown Brush. The tweets referring to it were deleted but at the time, responding to a comment by the LuLaRoe queen, Maddie wrote, “Try being scared of someone your whole f**king life and she plays like she’s the one whose hurting! She was a monster!” Might that explain why Maddie didn’t attend Gwen’s wedding?
Meri Brown & Leon Attended Gwendlyn’s Wedding
TLC fans can understand why Leon arrived at the wedding as he came out years ago. Meanwhile, it was more recently that Gwendlyn proudly admitted that she’s bisexual. Why would she invite someone that other family members shaded for allegedly being abusive? Actually, it’s an interesting family dynamic. Gwendlyn accused Paedon of being a homophobe and a liar. Nevertheless, OK Magazine quoted her as admitting, to abusive behavior.
The outlet noted that when Gwedlyn talked about Meri Brown, she said, “Meri had moments where she was rude and scary.” However, she tempered that by saying, “But I don’t remember her getting physical with anyone except for Mykelti and that was only once.” Once again, why would she invite a “scary” person to her special wedding? Perhaps TLC filmed the show, in which case, she might have had no choice. Nonetheless, the outlet also noted that she seems to be reconciliatory. She added, “I believe that everyone deserves a second chance.”
Gwendlyn Gets Along With Kody’s Former First Wife?
In such a big family, it was always likely that some of the kids wouldn’t like Meri Brown. Mykelti claimed that she couldn’t recall the incident where she was allegedly on the receiving end of abusive behavior. Meanwhile, it seems that as Gwendlyn matured, she let bygones be bygones. These days, she gets along okay with the Sister Wives star.
