‘Mormon Wives’ Star Slammed Over Halloween Costumes

Fans recently saw a new season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives make its debut, just as a new spin-off is also set to premiere. In the meantime, however, one series alum has come under fire as their family with a social media share. This has led to the removal of the original post.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Will Release Its Orange County Spin-Off On November 12, 2026

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is a Hulu reality series that premiered in 2024. The series follows a group of Utah-based TikTok influencers also known as “MomTok.”

Back in August, it was announced that the show was renewed for a fifth and sixth season. Recently, five episodes of Season 5 were released on September 10, 2026.

A production pause reportedly caused the season to have such a short number of episodes. Back in April, however, it was also announced that the series would debut a spin-off, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County.

Before the spin-off was set to premiere this November, McCall DaPron, who is part of the Orange County series and is Mayci Neeley’s sister, has come under fire for her family’s Halloween costumes.

McCall and her husband, Kirk, and their three children were dressed in a recreation of the day JFK was assassinated in 1963. McCall herself was dressed like the First Lady “Jackie Kennedy,” later becoming known as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

In one shared clip, McCall reportedly mouthed along to a voiceover from Natalie Portman saying, “Don’t marry the president.” This originated from her portrayal of the First Lady in the 2016 film, Jackie.

Comments Were Closed On The Post Before It Was Eventually Taken Down

Kirk could be seen dressed in a grey suit and a blue tie, helping him resemble President John F. Kennedy. The couple’s children’s costumes were divided into two groups. Two were dressed as a young Caroline Kennedy and John F. Kennedy Jr., while the others dressed like Secret Service agents.

However, the post proved to be controversial, with many thinking it was poor taste to recreate this moment in history. One comment, directed at McCall, read, “[You’re] dressing up as a woman on the scariest day of her life.” Another accused the family of being “without an ounce of decency or sense of decorum.”

According to The U.S. Sun, McCall quickly closed the comment section on her post. Eventually, the share was ultimately removed from her account. On McCall’s Instagram Stories, she later showed photos of her kids dressed for trick-or-treating, mostly dressed as characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
