Tragic breaking news for NASCAR fans as Jimmie Johnson’s wife’s parents as well as her 11-year-old nephew has been confirmed dead in what appears to be a tragic murder-suicide. In a recent update to this story, Legacy Motor Club has just announced Jimmie Johnson will withdraw from racing in this weekend’s NASCAR Cup Series event in Chicago. NASCAR Jimmie Johnson Withdraws, Tragic Family Murder-Suicide
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Muskogee Police confirms Chandra Janway’s parents, Jack and Terry. and her nephew, Dalton have been confirmed dead. Their bodies were discovered just after 9 P.M. on Monday night after a woman called 911 to report hearing gunshots. The woman reportedly hung up the phone immediately after reporting the gunshots.
Terry Janway (Jimmie Johnson’s mother-in-law) is currently being investigated as the prime suspect. Authorities believe she killed Dalton and her husband Jack before turning the gun on herself. Presently, it is unclear if Jimmie Johnson’s mother-in-law was also who called 911.

After arriving on the scene, cops report finding a body in the hallway of the home. Another gunshot was heard by cops coming from elsewhere inside the home. Cops proceeded to find two more dead bodies. All three individuals’ causes of death were confirmed to be fatal gunshot wounds.
As those who follow Jimmie Johnson know, he is a seven-time NASCAR Cup Champion. He married his wife Chandra back in 2004. The couple share two daughters together named Genevieve and Lydia.

Jimmie Johnson was slated to race in NASCAR’s Chicago street race this coming weekend. As mentioned previously, however, he has decided to withdraw from the race to support his wife during this difficult time.
Legacy Motor Club issued a brief statement confirming his withdrawal from the race and noting that Jimmie’s family is asking for privacy during this difficult time and will NOT be making any additional statements at this time.
