Starting in autumn 1974 (47 years ago!), every week I couldn’t wait to see what supernatural monster-of-the-week Kolchak would tangle with (and sometimes overcome!). It was, at the time, the most thrilling show on TV. And it directly inspired another scary TV classic, The X-Files. And my favorite show on TV right now?
