The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice‘s third daughter, Milania, was arrested by Montville Township Police last month, on May 12, for simple assault and causing bodily injury in a domestic violence case.
According to The Sun, the arrest was confirmed through New Jersey court transcripts and law enforcement sources. Milania was charged with “simple assault” and “purposely or knowingly causing bodily injury,” both of which were classified as domestic violence offenses.
Milania just finished her second year at the University of Tampa. She was a recurring figure on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, in which the audience watched her grow up from an adorable, outspoken tot to a teen. As a young adult, she was often portrayed as the most outspoken and unpredictable of the four Giudice daughters, earning a reputation for her fiery personality and memorable one-liners.
In her most recent Instagram post, she is seen in a two-piece bathing suit on a boat with the caption: “The best days.”
This is not the first time the family has clashed with law enforcement. In 2014, Teresa Giudice and her husband, Joe Giudice, were sentenced to 15 months and 41 months in prison, respectively, after pleading guilty to multiple federal fraud charges. Both Teresa and Joe admitted to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, concealing assets during bankruptcy proceedings, making false statements under oath in bankruptcy court, and filing false bankruptcy declarations. Joe also pleaded guilty to failing to file a tax return.
Following his release from federal custody in March 2019 after serving three and a half years, Joe was transferred to immigration detention and deported to Italy in October 2019, as per ABC News. Teresa and Joe finalized their divorce in September 2020, ending their 20-year marriage. Following their divorce, Teresa went on to marry Luis “Louie” Ruelas in August 2022.
Bravo revealed in March that Season 15 of RHONJ would continue filming in the spring after a nearly two-year hiatus and cast shakeup, with Teresa returning alongside Melissa Gorga and Dolores Catania.
