Countess Luann de Lesseps and Carole Radziwill starred on The Real Housewives of New York for six seasons together. Initially, they got along, but then everything went downhill. Now, Carole is back for Season 16 of RHONY, but the Countess claims it’s only because her former co-star has nothing to do. Keep reading for more on the shade that she threw.
Carole & Luann Have Had A Rocky Past
Luann de Lesseps is an OG of RHONY, starting with Season 1. Carole Radziwill came in Season 5 and was part of the rebranding when she, Heather Thomson, and Aviva Drescher came aboard. There was a competitive edge between Luann and Carole, but eventually, they formed a decent bond. That all faded when Carole began dating Lu’s personal chef and close family friend, Adam Kenworthy. Things got messy and were never quite the same until Adam and Carole split. Carole exited after Season 10, but Lu remained a cast member until the reboot in Season 14.
Then, the whole OG cast was let go and replaced by newer, younger girls. Fans have missed the old RHONY so much that E! has picked up the ladies for The Golden Life. Luann will be featured alongside Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, Kelly Bensimon, and Dorinda Medley. As for the reboot, it is entering Season 16, and Carole will be joining full-time. However, Luann made a dig as to why Carole opted to return:
“I was not surprised because I saw Carole at BravoCon. I have no beef with Carole. Good for her! I don’t think she was that busy before (the RHONY call). It’s a good thing for her to be back. She has a job. Let’s do that. Good for her! She was not in great graces, but now she’s back. Listen. I wish them well.”
Was that a nice thing to say about Carole Radziwill? Not the kindest, but it’s clear that the Countess still has a very shady side. Maybe she is a little bitter that she and the ladies were put on E! and not brought back to Bravo. Regardless, fans immediately chimed in after they heard the dig:

Carole Claps Back
After Carole Radziwill heard what Luann de Lesseps had to say, she clapped back. The RHONY star noted that she had worked for many years, so it is fine to have downtime. She made a video from her home where she was kicking back, and the Countess immediately responded:

Many followers felt that being able to be “less busy” was the way to be. So many people have been overwhelmed with life that they wished to slow down. Or to take on jobs only when they chose.
