There’s been a lot of drama on the first season of RHORI but the real drama is off-camera. A star from the show is facing 88 years in prison amid drug charges. They’ve also been accused of having ties to a mob family in New England. Keep reading for all the details.
Police Claim RHORI Star Has Ties To The Mob
Bravo expanded its Real Housewives franchise to a new city this year. The Real Housewives of Rhode Island premiered in April. Most of the cast is new to reality TV, but former Bachelor star Ashley Iaconetti made her Bravo debut on the show. She actually stays out of most of the drama.

In the second episode, the ladies confronted Liz McGraw about her close relationship with a male friend. Her husband, Gerry, is often out of town for work on commercial fishing trips. While he’s gone, Liz McGraw spends a lot of time with Dino Guilmette. However, she strongly denied that they were having an affair. In fact, she said he’s a close friend of her husband’s, too.
But cheating allegations are the least of Dino Guilmette’s concerns. He was arrested in 2022 on multiple drug charges. In addition to that, prosecutors claim that he has strong mob ties. Authorities believe he is heavily involved in the La Cosa Nostra mob in New England. Dino Guilmette was in court this week to face the drug charges.

Dino Guilmette Faces 88 Years In Prison Amid Drug Charges
Liz McGraw’s relationship with Dino Guilmette was scrutinized by her co-stars. His activities outside of the show caught the attention of the police. He was arrested on multiple drug charges, including drug conspiracy, perjury and possession of a controlled substance.
According to The U.S. Sun, the prosecutors allege that Dino Guilmette smuggled large quantities of cocaine into Rhode Island and sold it. He was offered a plea deal by the prosecutors – five years probation for pleading guilty to two of the charges. However, the RHORI star turned it down in court earlier this week. “My client turned down the offer because he absolutely maintains his innocence,” his lawyer said after the court hearing.
Rejecting the plea deal put the case in the hands of the judge or a jury. If convicted, Dino Guilmette faces up to 88 years in prison for the seven felony charges. He returns to court in July. The Real Housewives of Rhode Island was a massive hit and has been renewed for Season 2. His legal trouble might be addressed on the new season. Stay tuned for more on this ongoing situation.
