‘RHOSLC’ Heather Gay Is Finished With Co-Star Amid Legal Battle

TV Shows

Heather Gay reveals that she will not film another scene alongside her Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City co-star, Monica Garcia.

For some people, drama seems to follow them everywhere they go. No matter what they do, there is always an explosive argument or revelation waiting around the corner. For Real Housewives cast members, not only is drama encouraged, it appears to be required at all times. Luckily for Heather Gay, drama has been a loyal companion.

Heather Gay Draws The Line

While speaking to Variety on the red carpet at the Women in Reality TV event, Gay was asked about co-star Monica Garcia. In regards to ever filming another scene with Garcia, Gay seemed confident that the two of them would never share a scene again. “I don’t think I ever will, ever,” Gay said. After a lengthy awkward pause, she added, “It’s pretty definitive for myself. I can’t speak for my other cast members, but for me, it’s pretty clear.”

The reason behind the animosity goes back a few years. In 2017, Gay and co-owner Andrea Nord founded and launched a medical spa services company, Beauty Lab + Laser. In a 2021 interview with Bravo, Gay explained the reason behind the rapid success of her business. “The fact that people are doing business now via Zoom calls, they are staring at their flaws all day long,” she said.

Gay said that she remains confident in the demand for her products. “That has dramatically increased our business. We’ve doubled where we were at last year and it’s clear that we want to expand. We want to keep putting Botox in people’s faces and filler in their lips.”

Looking to make herself another one of Gay’s satisfied customers, Garcia opted to utilize Gay’s business. A decision that would ultimately create a rift between the two Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City stars.

Heather Gay’s Legal Battle With Her ‘RHOSLC’ Co-Star

As reported by The Salt Lake City Tribune, in the lawsuit filed by Beauty Lab + Laser, Garcia has been accused of refusing to pay for a series of cosmetic injections. It was reported that Garcia began treatment in December 2019.

According to the lawsuit, Garcia agreed to pay $2,449 owed for the treatments. Beauty Lab + Laser alleges that Garcia has only paid $449 so far, still $2,000 short of the agreed-upon amount. Beauty Lab + Laser sued for the remaining payment on Aug. 14.

In a surprising twist, Garcia filed a countersuit less than a month later. Garcia claims that she owes nothing because she “reached an oral accord” to go to a “competent party to fix the damage to Monica’s nose and lips caused by the incompetent, negligent actions of Beauty Lab’s staff.” The Salt Lake Tribune reported that Garcia is also seeking damages of less than $50,000, according to the lawsuit.

Heather Gay Believes That Her Company’s Reputation ‘Speaks For Itself’

On Nov. 9, Gay took to social media to address the lawsuit that was filed by Garcia. She also defended her beauty business by noting its positive reputation. “Beauty Lab + Laser is a phenomenal business, in the top 1% of providers, with over 3,000 positive reviews,” she wrote on Instagram. “Our injectors are nationally ranked and leaders within the industry and our legion of loyal customers speaks for itself.”

Gay continued, “This lawsuit in the press has no merit and is unfortunately a pattern of behavior from a desperate woman who when unable to pay her bills lashes out to avoid accountability.”
