The View Goes Dark
Viewers tuning into The View earlier this week might have gotten déjà vu from the guests. The ABC talk show aired reruns for the week of June 29. The hosts were off for a short vacation ahead of the July 4th holiday.

Fans can expect The View to reportedly be back with live episodes on Monday, July 6. Click here to read more about the show’s return.
Savannah Chrisley Reveals Surprising Bond With Co-Host
The Chrisley family let cameras into their lives for 10 seasons on Chrisley Knows Best. The reality show ended in 2023 after Todd and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to years in prison. Savannah Chrisley insisted her parents were innocent and lobbied for a pardon. She was a keynote speaker at the Republican National Convention in 2024.
The reality star was among the guest hosts filling in for Alyssa Farah Griffin during her maternity leave earlier this year. Savannah Chrisley went to battle with the co-hosts on political topics but held her own. Viewers were expecting major tension, but overall, her guest-hosting stint was cordial.

Savannah Chrisley reflected on her time co-hosting The View on Jana Kramer’s Whine Down podcast. “That was the time of my life. We had so much fun. And social media was brutal on both sides, right? But, first off, it was like one of their highest-rated [stretch of episodes] of the entire season,” she said.
She said that the show needs to go back to having hosts with different political beliefs. Most of The View hosts are Democrats or left-leaning independents. Despite their political differences, Savannah Chrisley bonded with one co-host in particular.
She revealed Whoopi Goldberg’s sweet gesture. “Whoopi’s like coming into my green room [and] was like, ‘Alright, you have to come to my house in Italy this summer. We’ll have so much fun.’”
Alyssa Farah Griffin took back her seat on the talk show after two months of maternity leave. However, if The View ever needs a fill-in guest host, Savannah Chrisley would likely jump at the chance. Tell us in the comments if Whoopi Goldberg’s kind invitation surprises you.
