Savannah Guthrie shared a rare Instagram post unrelated to her Today anchoring duties on Sunday, posting a photo of husband Mike Feldman cuddling the couple’s two children, Vale and Charley.
“Our hero,” Guthrie captioned the pic. “Happy Father’s Day, @feldmike.”
Commenters shared well-wishes for the family as investigators continue searching for Nancy Guthrie, Savannah’s missing mother.
“You are blessed with a great father for your children. Blessings to you,” one Instagram user wrote.
“Happy Father’s Day to your husband, Savannah,” added another. “I pray for you and your family daily and pray for the authorities who are working hard. Please know that there are so many praying for you all.”
A third user wrote, “Stay strong, everyone.”
Feldman shared a similar Instagram post last month for Mother’s Day, posting a pic of Savannah hugging Vale and Charley. “To the strongest person I know,” he wrote in that post’s caption. “Surrounding you with love on Mother’s Day.”
Savannah’s Father’s Day tribute amid chatter of a “breakthrough” in the Nancy Guthrie case. Last weekend, former FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer posted on X about a report from the Web3 security service provider CertiK, which cited the Nancy Guthrie case as an example of a wrench attack — i.e. an attempt to extort cryptocurrency through violence — with a proxy target — i.e. a vulnerable relative.
“Does CertiK have knowledge as to if Savannah has a Bitcoin account?” Coffindaffer wrote in her X post. “This is a huge breakthrough. Times have changed. And how these networks operate is new to [law enforcement]. Unless [law enforcement] knows who took Nancy, then a wrench by proxy Is on the table.”
Then, on Thursday, Coffindaffer speculated that investigators might already know the identity of the masked figure seen on Nancy’s doorstep the night she disappeared from her Arizona home. “Where is the enhanced photo of Porch Guy?” she wrote on X. “It exists. Why not share with the public for their help? Billboards: Why is Nancy’s face on them? Put Porch Guy’s face [and] add Spanish if you want more of the public’s help. Or do you know who Porch Guy is?”
She added, “Twenty-five years in the FBI tells me they must have an idea of who is behind this. If this is not the case, then let the public help. Release the enhanced photos. Change the billboards. Commence searching the desert.”
