Senator Lindsey Graham has died at the age of seventy-one. The United States Senator from South Carolina was seemingly taken into emergency care late on Saturday evening. Keep reading for more on what is currently known.
Senator Lindsey Graham Was Briefly Ill
Right now, there is a lot of chatter around Senator Mitch McConnell and his health. He was allegedly unconscious in June 2026 and was spotted being placed into a stretcher. This took place outside of the Senator’s Washington, DC home. However, it has been downplayed, and no one is quite sure how well he is faring. At 84, many want to know if he is okay and what is next for him. Now, out of the blue, his fellow Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has shocked the country and passed away. He was just 71.
As to what happened, it seems that he passed away “from a brief and sudden illness.” His spokesperson did not appear to give away a lot of details regarding his passing. Yet, audio has been released from the evening of July 11th, 2026. Apparently, emergency personnel rushed to Senator Graham’s home at approximately 830 pm. Moreover, the person in crisis was having chest pains, and eventually, CPR was given to the person in distress. However, that was not enough, as the Senator passed. President Donald Trump paid tribute to him via his platform, Truth Social:
“Senator Lindsey Graham, one of the greatest people and Senators I have ever known, is dead! He was always working, and was a true American Patriot. Lindsey will be greatly missed!!!”
Finally, Senator Lindsey Graham’s family had a few requests while they navigate the loss of their beloved:
“Senator Graham’s family appreciates prayers at this time and asks for privacy during this incredibly difficult period.”
Although there is much division, tributes and memories are pouring in amid the news breaking of Senator Graham’s death.
