Shannon Beador’s ex-boyfriend, John Janssen is suing her for $75K over a loan he allegedly gave her. This includes money for a supposed facelift and other things. So, what exactly is he claiming in this suit? Keep reading for more details.
Shannon Beador’s Ex Sues Her For $75K Including Facelift
For most of RHOC Season 17, Shannon Beador was terrified of ruining her relationship with John Janssen. They had been together for a few years but she claimed that he was so private. Therefore, she felt that anything she revealed about their romance was going to make him mad and cause him to break up with her. This was incredibly toxic and it felt like she was constantly walking on eggshells. By the end of the season, the two had parted ways but were still very close friends. When she got into her DUI, John was taking her to appointments but it later turned out she had been at his house prior to getting arrested.
She had stopped at his house and the two had fought, Shannon left and drove, even though she was inebriated which led to her DUI hit and run. Since all of this transpired, John started a romance with RHOC alum Alexis Bellino who will be back for Season 18. It has seemingly rocked Shannon’s world and caused a divide between her and some friends, including Tamra Judge. Now, to add insult to injury, John is suing Shannon for $75K according to People.
He is claiming that, in 2022, Shannon Beador borrowed $40K for a facelift. He turned over the money through a wire transfer and then the balance of $35K was given via check. Beador was allegedly to give her ex the money back along with interest but that has yet to occur. Additionally, he asked for the money back in 2023 and 2024 but had to resort to a suit. Janssen now wants the full $75K, interest, costs, as well as “reasonable attorneys’ fees.”
The ‘Gift’ That Keeps on Giving
According to Shannon Beador, this money was a “gift” but John Janssen is clearly disputing this. His attorneys said this:
“Ms. Beador’s defense that Mr. Janssen paid her the $75,000 as a ‘gift’ is completely meritless, which their e-mails and text messages will show. Mr. Janssen is saddened that Ms. Beador’s unwillingness to repay the loans made it necessary to file this lawsuit.”
It had appeared, at times, that John was using Shannon but now, the tables have turned. Now, it is unclear why this is happening now and why he did not file this when the two broke up. More so, it is unclear why he was so accommodating when Shannon was in pain after her DUI. Then, he chooses now to file while they are filming Season 18 of RHOC.
