Simone Biles recently took to social media to share that she was in the hospital. This followed her sharing that she was “almost dying” from a mysterious emergency back in June. This also took place on an important day in her family.
Simone Biles Shared A Photo From The Hospital Alongside Her Husband, Jonathan Owens
Biles is an artistic gymnast, known for winning at least 11 Olympic medals and 30 World Championship medals. At this time, she is considered one of the most decorated gymnasts in the history of the sport.
Biles is also known for her relationship with American football player Jonathan Owens. First meeting in 2020, they married in 2023.
Recently, Biles took to Instagram to share a black-and-white photo of herself in a hospital gown and shower cap. Biles was sitting next to her husband, with Owens smiling at the camera.
In a caption, Simone wrote that this took place on an important day for Owens, noting, “His birthday but he takes me to get my procedure.” She continued, “I woke up singing BossMan Dlow’s ‘Talk my Sh–.’”
This took place months after Biles previously opened up about a medical emergency during an Instagram Story share. At the time, she noted that “almost dying” wasn’t on her “bingo card.”
Biles Previously Shared That She ‘Wasn’t Ready’ To Discuss The Medical Emergency That Sparked Headlines Back In June
Simone didn’t elaborate too much on what had happened, but noted, “This was one of, if not, the scariest experiences of my life, especially since Jonathon was in Indy for practices.”
At the time, Simone continued, “I’ve been in bed resting this week, I’ll explain sooner or later but s/o to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited & or sent flowers.”
As with this previous share, Biles didn’t divulge much about what had happened beyond undergoing a procedure. Simone is known for keeping these matters private. As noted by E! Online, a fan has asked her on a different Instagram post in June for an update on the previous story. However, Biles responded with a bandaged heart emoji, adding that she was “not ready to talk about it just yet.”
As previously reported, Biles has also spoken out against critics who complain about her discussing stories outside of the emergency. In a previous share, responding to a comment made after sharing travel photos, she wrote, These comments make me sad. A little over two weeks ago, I experienced a serious medical emergency that could have ended very differently.”
