Christine & David Are Trying To Make Their Marriage Work
In Season 21 of Sister Wives, David and Christine Brown Woolley are seen in therapy. It appears that they are having some marital issues, so they opted to seek some help to make it work. This is not a shock for viewers, as it has been said that they rushed into their marriage. Moreover, Christine has a habit of living in the past with what she went through with Kody and polygamy. In a clip from one of David and Christine’s sessions, he can be seen saying that she is two different people. She changes her persona based on who she is with, and that is impacting their relationship.
Now, they are talking about hall passes as they attempt to get to know each other better by playing Let’s Get Deep. One of the questions David pulls is:
“If you could do anything today without worrying about consequences, what would you choose?”
Christine responds:
“I would want to go on a trip, right now, vacation.”
That sounds lovely in so many ways, but that was not what David was thinking. Rather, he had a hall pass in mind, which is sleeping with a celebrity if they showed up and the partner did not care. Christine Brown Woolley admitted that the whole concept was something she was still getting used to. As it turned out, the Sister Wives stars shared a hall pass: actress Elizabeth Hurley. However, David chose to turn their mutual affinity for the star into a different conversation:
“If I said, ‘Hey, I like Elizabeth Hurley,’ and you say, ‘I’m in with you,’ that’s not a hall pass; that’s like polygamy.”
Christine shut that down immediately as she was not about to return to that life, no matter who her sister wife would be. This whole conversation repulsed fans. They went so far as to call the couple “cringe.”
