Saturday Night Live UK mocked Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s move back to Britain in the cold open of its Season 2 premiere.
On the Saturday, September 12 episode of SNL UK, a skit titled “Harry and Meghan Return Home” took aim at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The scene opens with King Charles III (Larry Dean), 77, and his wife, Queen Camilla (Emma Sidi), 79, at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. “Nothing like a quiet Saturday at Balmoral,” the monarch said. “Clean Scottish air, dirty Scottish people.”
To that, Camilla responded, “I do so love our weekends away. No responsibilities — just like every other day.”
That’s when Prince Harry (Jack Shep), 41, and Meghan Markle (Ayoade Bamgboye), 45, knocked and entered the room, and King Charles declared, “Harry, what are you two doing here? This castle is for royals only.”
Queen Camilla scolded her husband, “Oh, Charles! Don’t be such a grump!” before welcoming their guests. “Hello, sweet Harry. And beautiful Meghan, as brown as ever.”
To that, Markle replied, “Gee, thanks. Hey, step-Queen, I brought you a gift: It’s ice. I made it myself. I can give you the recipe; I’m kind of a whiz in the kitchen.”
Prince Harry then chimed in, “It’s true. She hires the best cooks.”
After King Charles halted Prince Harry and Markle’s PDA, he asked them what they wanted.
“We’re moving back to the U.K., and we need your help,” Markle said.
King Charles sighed and then declared, “Don’t tell me you spent all your Netflix money already, to which Prince Harry protested, “Daddy, it was $60 million. How long was it meant to last? I’m not asking for much, just a Duchy or two.”
That’s when the monarch shook his head and lamented, “What a waste you’ve become. You’re lucky your father isn’t around to see this.”
Prince William countered, “Daddy, just because I don’t want to be royal doesn’t mean I want to be a regular guy.”
Suddenly, a man — George Fouracres portraying U.K.’s new Prime Minister Andy Burnham — opened the door and said, “Did somebody say regular guy?”
The rest of the skit was dedicated to poking fun at Burnham’s perceived preoccupation with being viewed as an average Joe — with Prince Harry and Markle mostly ignoring him in the background.
In real life, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated back to the U.K. with their two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, in late August.
