Sofia Permas is starring in the upcoming episode of her husband Justin Hartley’s series Tracker. On the eve of the premiere, she spoke to People about Justin’s former series This Is Us. Although the couple dated and married when he starred in the series as Kevin Pearson, she did have to share something brutal about the NBC series.
I was very honest with him. I saw the first season, and I don’t know how people binge-watch that show. I don’t really like to emote much, so I couldn’t do it.
Revealing that she preferred to keep her feelings private, not “wear them” on her sleeve, she insists her inability to watch the series was a compliment.
It pulled too many heartstrings for me. [Creator] Dan Fogelman is too good and the cast is too good. I couldn’t. It was just like ‘I need something [else]…I can’t cry every day. I can’t!’
