Chris Cuomo Is Desired, But A Big Problem

Bari Weiss has been doing all she can to change the operations now that she is in charge. She has gone on an alleged firing spree at CBS News, which has severely impacted 60 Minutes. Additionally, there are rumors that she could take over CNN if Paramount Skydance officially merges with Warner Bros. Discovery, which is a terrifying prospect. That means that many more jobs could be in jeopardy, and staffers are fearful. In creative fields, job security is hard to come by, and with Bari at the helm, she does not offer that.

Now, it has been alleged that Bari is hoping to recruit Chris Cuomo, who used to be a major face on CNN. Along with Don Lemon, they dominated the evenings until Cuomo was fired, as was Lemon. However, sources claim Bari is very interested in Cuomo joining CBS News, but there is a major issue. He sued CNN in 2022 after being let go and is asking for $125 million from Warner Bros. Discovery. So, what does that have to do with Cuomo and Bari Weiss? If the CNN acquisition does go through, how can he possibly come on?

Moreover, would he even want to return to the scene of the crime? Allegedly, everything is in “pre-infancy,” so nothing could come of this. He currently works at NewsNation, so he may not want to leave his post. A lot is going on regarding the merger and who could be the next victim, so time will tell whether there is any truth to this.

Once it came out that Bari Weiss may want to hire Chris Cuomo, followers found it comical. However, with what she has been doing regarding CBS News, it was not that far-fetched. In fact, they could see Bari bringing Cuomo on board despite the lawsuit and his tainted past with CNN:

• They can have each other, CBS News is a sinking ship
• just another reason to not watch CBS news at all. Bari is obsessed with sinking the ship.

Looks like the general consensus is that it all has become a “sinking ship” under Bari Weiss, which is quite sad. Hopefully, not too much damage is done, but it is not looking good.
