Stassi Schroeder Makes Reality TV Return
Stassi Schroeder made her reality TV debut when she was just 17. She competed on The Amazing Race alongside her father, stepmother, and brother in 2005. She went on to star in the short-lived Queen Bees in 2008. But it wasn’t until Vanderpump Rules premiered in 2013 that she gained reality TV stardom.
Her on-and-off toxic relationship with Jax Taylor took center stage on the show’s first few seasons. Her role in Season 4 was diminished after she briefly relocated from Los Angeles to New York City. She returned to the show in a full-time role after returning to L.A. However, Bravo fired her and Kristen Doute in 2020 after resurfaced reports of an incident involving co-star Faith Stowers. Stassi and Kristen allegedly reported Faith Stowers to the police for crimes she didn’t commit. Furthermore, photos resurfaced of Stassi dressed in an outfit she described as “Nazi Chic.”
That was enough for her to get fired and briefly “canceled.” However, Lisa Vanderpump brought Stassi onto Vanderpump Villa. From there, Hulu launched a Stassi-centric show, House of Stassi. She Says Vanderpump Rules Gave Her ‘PTSD’
Stassi Schroeder has moved beyond Vanderpump Rules. She’s now married with two children. She married Beau Clark in 2020, welcomed daughter Hartford in 2021 and son Messer in 2023. However, she’s still dealing with the trauma caused by the Bravo show.
“I’m scared of reality TV but it’s all I know. I love it but I’m also traumatized by it. But I can’t stay away from it. But I was not gonna let Vanderpump Rules be my legacy. I had to make this happen. I had to,” she said on the House of Stassi premiere.
Stassi Schroeder and Katie Maloney were close friends during their time on VPR. However, they drifted apart after Stassi was fired. They repaired their friendship while filming House of Stassi. In a candid conversation, they discussed a grievance with Vanderpump Rules.
“I loved Vanderpump Rules but it also is literally what we’re gonna have PTSD about and have to talk to therapists about for the rest of our life,” Stassi said, according to Us Weekly. She claimed that the show protected the male cast members and made the women look bad.
“It was always, ‘Make the girls look psychotic, make the girls look like they have issues. They covered for the boys, they covered for the men,” Stassi Schroeder said to Katie Maloney on House of Stassi.
