- Advertisment -

News has come out that a previous contestant on Survivor has become the subject of an FBI investigation. The former castaway and their teenage child were reported missing by their ex-husband. Since then, however, the figure has shared an update with fans on social media.

Early Reports Claimed That The Survivor Alum Didn’t Return Their Son To His Father After A Weekend Visit & Missed Court Dates

According to early reports, a judge had ordered the arrest of the Survivor contestant, who failed to return her son to his father, who has custody of the child, following a weekend visitation. This visitation reportedly took place on August 30 in South Carolina.

Reports later claimed that the figure also missed later court dates. The judge had since cleared police statewide to take her into custody.

According to The Daily Mail, the Survivor alum was identified as Jaime Dugan. She previously appeared on Survivor: China. During her time on the show, she ultimately finished in tenth place.

Dugan’s ex-husband, Erik Huffman, shared that he feared for his son Harper’s safety, saying, “Harper’s safety and wellbeing is my top priority right now, and getting him back safely is extremely important.” He added, “I truly am concerned about [Dugan’s] mental stability and his safety. I feel like I’ve been working night and day on this.”

Jaime Dugan Later Made Claims In A Series Of Posts On Instagram, Which Were Previously Addressed In Court Documents

Erik added, “I’ve made it my own investigation to try to get answers, driving across South Carolina, speaking to various law enforcement. It’s been a logistical nightmare. It’s been stressful and it’s been tough. I’m very worried about my son.”

Since the story first broke out, Dugan shared a number of startling posts sharing her side of the story. As she shared, “I really didn’t want to have to post this for Harper’s sake… but Harper was molested by his grandmother, Denise Huffman. He was also physically assaulted on multiple occasions by his father. He is seeing a psychiatrist and working through the abuse.”

Dugan’s Attorney Also Released A Statement Over The Case

Dugan later added, “Harper did not disclose the abuse to me. He disclosed it to a nurse who was a mandatory reporter. He was subsequently interviewed by police. They confirmed the abuse. There is an active investigation.”

During the post, Dugan also weighed in on the ongoing investigation, sharing, “I have not been contacted by the police or the FBI. There was apparently a hearing in Spartanburg. I was not served and did not go.”

As The Daily Mail previously shared, these allegations were previously shared in a court order. For his part, Erik has denied these claims and a judge reportedly referred to them as “unfounded.”

Jonathan Lewis, Dugan’s divorce attorney, was also quoted as saying his client is “considered innocent if or until she is proven guilty of a criminal offense, or liable of a civil offense, following proper proceedings in a court of law.” He also expressed, “I join in praying for Harper’s safe return and that this matter will quickly and decisively resolve itself in the best interests of Harper.”
