The Great British Baking Show recently announced when its U.S. fans can enjoy the series. This also comes out as big news was announced for the series. A famous figure is joining the series as its latest judge.
Fans Have Seen A Number Of Iconic Judges & Presenters On The Great British Baking Show
The Great British Bake Off, also known as The Great British Baking Show, is a baking competition series in which amateur bakers compete against each other, with one eliminated each round. The series originally made its debut in 2010.
Various figures have served as presenters on the show, including Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas. Naturally, the series has also hosted many well-known judges, including Paul Hollywood, Mary Berry, and Prue Leith.

In 2026, the series has been renewed for a seventeenth series. In addition, it’s been announced that one prominent celebrity chef will join the show as a judge: Nigella Lawson.
Nigella is the daughter of politician Nigel Lawson, Baron Lawson of Blaby. Establishing herself as a food writer, she hosted her own cooking series in 1999, Nigella Bites. In 2006, she also hosted the Food Network’s Nigella Feasts.
Throughout her career, Nigella has been a judge on multiple cooking shows. She previously served as a judge on The Taste for ABC from 2013 to 2015, as well as judging the U.K. version of the show the following year. Other shows she has appeared as a guest judge include MasterChef Australia, MasterChef US, and My Kitchen Rules.
Nigella Lawson Previously Talked About What An Honor It Was To Join The Series
The series will return to the U.S. on September 25, which will be released as “Collection 14” on Netflix. This is just a few days after the U.K. premiere on September 22.
Fans have already gotten a glimpse at Nigella on the show with a recently released trailer. At one point, she could be seen offering a piece of advice to one baker: “Don’t let the sugar shout. Let it sing.”

The series announced that Lawson would be joining the series earlier this year. According to the series’ website, at the time, she shared, “I’m uncharacteristically rather lost for words right now! Of course it’s daunting to be following in the footsteps of Prue Leith and Mary Berry before her, great dames both, but I’m also bubbling with excitement.”
“The Great British Bake Off is more than a television program. It’s a National Treasure – and it’s a huge honor to be entrusted with it. I’m just thrilled to be joining the team and all the new bakers to come. I wish the marvelous Prue all the best and am giddily grateful for the opportunity!”
