Fox has handed a sequence order to The Cleansing Girl, its adaptation of the Argentinean drama starring Daredevil and The Defenders alum Elodie Yung.
The hour-long drama, which I hear has obtained a ten episode order, comes from The 100 author Miranda Kwok, Stargirl EP Melissa Carter, who’s showrunner, Shay Mitchell’s Amore & Vita Productions, Warner Bros. Tv and Fox Leisure. Homeland director Michael Supply directs and exec produced the pilot.
The Cleansing Girl stars Yung as Thony, a whip-smart physician who involves the U.S. for a medical therapy to avoid wasting her ailing son. However when the system fails and pushes her into hiding, she refuses to be crushed down and marginalized. As an alternative, she turns into a cleansing woman for the mob and begins enjoying the sport by her personal guidelines.
