This contestant will be living comfortably after a big win on The Price Is Right. The excited contestant screamed and jumped up and down after scoring a brand-new living room set, complete with furniture and a TV.
On June 30, Irene West won the sixth item up for bid on June 30. Her game was posted to the game show‘s Instagram on August 24. “The odds were in her favor,” the post was captioned.
She bid $2,300 on a three-night trip to Portola Hotel & Spa in Monterey Bay, California. West had the highest bid. Since the actual retail price was $3,382, she won and got to come to the stage to win more prizes.
The game show contestant played Coming or Going for a sofa, chair, ottoman, coffee table, and a Samsung 75″ QLED 4K TV. West either had to choose the going price, $4,807, or the coming price, $7, 084.
All she had to do was tilt the numbers from one side or the other, hence the coming or going, to make the correct price of the prize. West chose $7,084 as the price.
“$7,084? Let’s give it to her,” host Drew Carey said. When it lit up correctly, the host said, “Yes, of course.”
West shrieked and jumped up and down. The contestant spun an .80 on the wheel, so she advanced to the Showcase.
She bid $37,000 on a Hyundai Venue SEL, a six-night trip to San Sebastien, Spain, a Polaroid camera and five film packs, and an outdoor kitchen set. The actual retail price was $42,697, which gave her a difference of $5,697.
West was closer in price than her opponent, Allison, so she won the Showcase and took home all of the prizes. She left with a total of $53,326.
Fans reacted to West’s win in the comments. “Nice win!” one fan said.
“Enjoy your living room,” another commented with clapping emojis.
“Great job,” a third added.
