The View welcomed Vice President JD Vance last week. The interview received a lot of fanfare as viewers expected the talk show hosts to grill the Vice President. But most of the hosts went easy on him, except for Ana Navarro. Her questions led to an unexpected on-air scolding from Whoopi Goldberg. Ana Navarro broke her silence and addressed the on-air spat. The View Fans Blast Whoopi Goldberg For Snapping At Co-Host
JD Vance appeared on The View to promote his new book. However, the hosts wanted to talk about some of the Trump administration’s most controversial actions and policies. In one part of the interview, the Vice President defended the President saying that he “loved” inflation. Despite the extremely differing views between the hosts and the VP, the interview was surprisingly cordial.
Ana Navarro definitely went the hardest with her questions. Her determination to get answers led to an unexpected tense moment with Whoopi Goldberg. As moderator, Whoopi wanted to send the show to a commercial break but Ana Navarro wouldn’t stop talking. Whoopi scolded her for refusing to let her go to a commercial.
The tense moment shocked viewers. Fans of the show took to Reddit to blast Whoopi Goldberg’s disrespectful attitude toward her co-host.

- “Whoopi needs to go. She also really needs to better prepare for a guest as impactful and influential as JD.”

Ana Navarro Addresses On-Air Spat
Viewers were upset on Ana Navarro’s behalf, but what did The View co-host think of the on-air spat? She was on the show’s Behind the Table podcast after the disastrous interview with JD Vance. She said that she understood why Whoopi Goldberg snapped at her. “This is a live show, that’s why it gets messy sometimes,” she told The View producer and podcast host Brian Teta.
The executive producer shared with listeners that the tense moment was forgotten by the hosts moments after it happened. Ana Navarro revealed that she’s on good terms with Whoopi Goldberg despite the on-air spat. “Whoopi Goldberg and I are close friends, and we don’t take this out of the studio,” Ana Navarro said.
