Recently on The View‘s Hot Topics, Joy Behar wasn’t trying to make any friends. The show is known for its strong female opinions and forward discussions on various topics. The all-female panel includes Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Meghan McCain, and Sara Haines. The View brings up politics, culture, and other big issues for “table” discussion. But it’s been a firecracker week for the show. For example, Whoopi Goldberg blatantly asked her co-host Alyssa Farah if she was pregnant. And Behar directly questioned the intelligence of the entire Kardashian-Jenner family.
What’s Been Going On At The View
Unquestionably, the show is always full of wild card moments. Naturally, that can be expected since it is composed of bold and opinionated women who are discussing difficult topics. However, no one was prepared for the explosive blunt question about maternity that came earlier this week. Undeniably, it was a shocking moment when Whoopi Goldberg stopped mid-sentence to call out her co-host Alyssa Farah. A bit jaw-dropping, but Alyssa Farah regrouped and the show moved forward.
Joy Behar gave her direct opinion about the Kardashian-Jenner family during an episode earlier this week.
Laying It All Out There
The View’s longtime co-host, Joy Bahar, took a shot at the iconic Kardashian-Jenner family’s intelligence. While The Kardashians have their extremely successful reality TV shows, they also operate multiple successful businesses. And among them, several generate billions in profit every year. However, Joy Bahar simplistically reduced them to “plastic surgery” and “big behinds.”
Notably, it all started with The View cohosts discussing Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner‘s relationship. As the panel discussed Hot Topics on Tuesday, Whoopi Goldberg brought it up saying, “People are concerned because they don’t understand what they could have in common.” They all agree they are pretty and rich. Goldberg continued, “Again, what does it have to do with you? Nothing.”
This led to chatter back and forth among the panelists. But then it curved to the discussion of their intelligence. That’s when the pointed criticism came out.
Joy Behar Aims Her Criticism At The Kardashians
Joy Behar assessed both Timothee and Kylie’s intelligence levels. Originally, Sunny Hostin had brought it up, discussing people who think Jenner “isn’t as smart” as Chalamet. Sunny Hostin pointed out, “I’m sorry, she’s like a gazillionaire, didn’t she start a company that’s worth around $750 million? She has more money than he has. His net worth is $25 million, why is she considered the dumb one?”
Joy Behar later responded, “It’s because of the movies that he makes, Call Me by Your Name… he didn’t write the script, he’s an actor, he’s reading people’s lines, it doesn’t make him the great intellectual. Sorry!”
But Joy Behar continued saying, “Kylie Jenner and the whole Kardashian family, they don’t have the vibe of being brilliant,” Behar quipped, “I’m sorry, they don’t. Whether it’s true or not, all they care about is plastic surgery and big behinds. It’s not like a big, intellectual group of people. Sorry, we’re not talking about Bernard Baruch here!”
If nothing else, she made it very clear what her opinion of the Kardashian-Jenner family is.
