Al Roker Tries Out A New Job
Since the late eighties, Al Roker has been a presence on the Today Show. He has been a meteorologist who viewers love and trust implicitly. Moreover, he has battled serious health problems, but when he makes it through, followers are incredibly grateful. He is resilient with such a positive outlook, and is happily married to ABC anchor Deborah Roberts. After all these years delivering the weather, one would think that Al might be ready for a change. That very well may be true.
In a recent segment, Al opted to head to New Jersey to see the Turtle Back Zoo. They have a train that opened in 1963, and he took this as an opportunity to try his hand as a train engineer. Rick Murphy is the main conductor, but he loves seeing the children happy. His goal is to have them leave with a smile, but when they run up and hug his leg, it is the best treat. Al Roker immediately suited up for the ride of his life, and he was ready to go. He was thrilled to greet the guests and was ready to get them on the train.
Al became a grandfather in 2023, so making the children smile is likely a high priority. He was beaming as he was driving the train and was announced as the conductor for the day. It ended, and he wrapped up his time, but it was likely just for the day. As much as he enjoyed his train trip, he is best suited as a meteorologist.

Along with conducting the train, Al Roker likes to show himself working out. Fans and followers love to see him keeping in shape as he has worked hard to stay on a good track.
