Dylan Dreyer Was Missing With The Start Of September On Today
Dreyer is known to many through her work on Today, officially joining the morning news program in 2012 as a weekday weather anchor. Recently, she also expanded her audience with her podcast, The Parent Chat.
In her personal life, Dreyer was married to NBC News producer and cameraman Brian Fichera from 2012 to 2025. They continued to co-parent their three children together: Calvin, Oliver, and Russell.
Dreyer was recently absent from the morning show on September 1, 2026. At the time, Weekend Today‘s Angie Lassman stepped in for her and fellow weather anchor Al Roker.
However, Dreyer returned to the studio the following day. At the time, Dreyer didn’t reveal why she missed the previous day on the air.
That said, fans got an answer on social media. Taking to Instagram, she shared a photo of her three sons as they were getting ready to start a new year of school. She captioned the post, “And they’re back!!!”
Fans Took To Social Media To Remind Dreyer To Appreciate This Time
The brothers were dressed nice and neat, showing off their new backpacks for the upcoming school year. The three could be seen holding each other throughout the photos.
The final photo had Dreyer embrace her boys as a proud mother. As some eagle-eyed fans noted, a furry friend also seemed to be watching over the little family.
Over the past few months, Dreyer has also been sharing images of her and her sons as they were enjoying time off from school. As previously reported, she even reunited with Hoda Kotb to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday with their families together. For many across the United States, the holiday was a big event, as it marked the 250th anniversary of the country.
