One Of Dylan Dreyer’s Today Co-Stars Was Set To Take Part In A Big Event Just As She Shared Big Family News On The Air
Dreyer is known to many for her work as a meteorologist for Today. In addition, she recently became known for her podcast series, The Parent Chat, in which she and guests talk about family.
Recently, fans noticed that Dreyer had been absent from Today. However, she was able to share some family news through an on-air update.
On June 9, Dreyer appeared alongside co-star Carson Daly in Lake Tahoe at the 37th annual American Century Championship. During this time, Craig Melvin spoke to the team during the live broadcast, in which Carson explained that he’s competing in this year’s celebrity edition tournament.
Dreyer, meanwhile, has other plans in mind. As she explained, “Here’s the thing…guys, I’m not even playing this year. I’m not even playing this year because my niece is getting married in Oregon, so someone else is gonna have to pull up this year – not me.”
Dreyer Didn’t Think She Had Much Talent For Golf, But Her Fans Praised Her Spirit On Social Media
In another interview, Dreyer also shared that she would only be there for a couple of days, noting that the wedding would be taking place over the upcoming weekend. In fact, she revealed that she would already be gone before the tournament officially starts.
For her part, Dreyer is known to be fond of golf, but seems to think her talents lie elsewhere. As she told her co-star, “Carson, you just said ‘no one’s messing around.’ That’s all I’m doing – is messing around. My golf game stinks. I’m usually in last place here. But part of the fun is exactly that vibe.”
Dreyer also joked that the weather was messing with her game. As she shared, “I will say that the wind off of Lake Tahoe made my bad game even worse.”
By her own admission, Dreyer didn’t think she had much talent for golf. However, fans really admired her spirit. Many took to social media to admire her grit. Some comments included:
