Frances Rivera is making her exit from Today. However, the show decided to make sure she got a proper goodbye. A few of her co-workers on the show made sure to share some touching things to say about her. In fact, one co-star even pointed out that they shared a similar history.

Frances Rivera, Famous For Her Work With Early Today, Joined NBC News In 2014

Rivera is a journalist and news anchor who is known for appearing on the overnight news program, Early Today, for NBC. She had joined NBC News back in 2014, starting her position on Early Today in 2017.

Rivera is also known for her work with MSNBC. In particular, she served alongside Thomas Roberts as a co-anchor on MSNBC Live.

Previously, Rivera also worked at CBS Morning News in New York City. She also worked for the network’s The Morning Show off camera.

On June 18, fans recently said goodbye to Rivera, who announced plans to leave NBC to retire. During the moment, her co-stars made sure that their “dear friend and colleague” had a proper send-off. Soon, each of them had things to say to honor their departing co-star.

Three Of Rivera’s Co-Hosts Had A Few Kind Words To Share With Her At The Plaza

Sheinelle Jones introduced Frances on the show’s famous plaza. As she shared, “You see this woman here in the beautiful hot pink suit, we want to take a moment to recognize our dear friend and colleague, Frances Rivera, as she’s leaving her position as anchor of Early Today. She has been doing Early Today for 12 years – that means a lot of late nights, very early mornings.”

Craig Melvin shared, “She’s been in the business for 30 years, and she’s going to spend more time with her family, her husband Stuart – who is here—and her kids, Tessa and Laz, who are here as well. She’s hopefully going to get a little more sleep.”

When it came to Dylan Dreyer, she revealed that she actually had a personal connection with Rivera. She shared, “You were part of my origin story. We worked together in Boston. You were the main anchor, I did mornings, I love working with you.”

The moment was also shared on the show’s Instagram page. As a caption read, “We love you, @francesrivera. After 30 years in the business and 12 years at NBC, today is Early Today anchor Frances Rivera’s last day. #TODAYShow.” Fans took to the comments to share their love as well:
