On Tuesday’s broadcast, she got all choked up as she helped a couple get engaged on a special day. Hoda helped five couples get engaged on the live show. All of the show’s hosts, Al Roker, Craig Melvin, Hoda Kotb, Jenna Bush Hager, Sheinelle Jones, and Savannah Guthrie helped the lovebirds get engaged. In a clip shared on YouTube, Hoda stood outside the Today show plaza and fans cheered for her making the segment a big success.
Hoda Kotb Gets Emotional Over An On-Air Proposal
The news broadcaster hung out with her guests Ben and Mindy. A few minutes into the segment, she claimed that she will have a better experience at the show than she did the last time. At the very same moment, Ben dropped down to one knee, as Hoda asked Mindy to look behind. A few members of the crowd held up signs that read, “Marry me?”

Looking at Mindy with love, Ben said, “There’s no one else I’d rather spend my life with. Will you marry me?”
As the crowd cheered Mindy nodded her head in yes and tears drop down her cheeks. However, Hoda Kotb gave in to her emotions and cried alongside her.

However, she did manage to compose herself and gave the newly-engaged couple a warm hug. Additionally, the show hosts revealed that all of these couples would go home with some lovely prizes and wedding-themed gifts.
Hoda Kotb Tears Up Over Meghan Trainor’s Big Announcement
Hoda Kotb isn’t one to hold back. She lets her emotions flow freely on the NBC show if the moment demands it. Earlier in January, the mother of two couldn’t contain her excitement after a special guest on the show revealed a big secret.
Singer Meghan Trainor stopped by Studio 1A to announce her first book titled Dear Future Mama. However, that wasn’t the only thing the 29-year-old wanted to celebrate on air.

As Hoda and her co-host Carson Daly opened a copy of the book, they found two sonogram photos taped to the front page. As her husband Daryl Sabara hugged Meghan from behind, she said out loud, “Baby number two, we’re pregnant!”
