Todd Chrisley is celebrating his youngest son, Grayson Chrisley’s, major honor after missing two and a half years of his life. He and his wife, Julie, had been locked up for fraud and tax evasion, but were pardoned by President Trump. Now, they are free and reclaiming their lives. So, what did Grayson do that was so incredible? Keep reading for more details.
Grayson Chrisley Defied The Odds
It has not been easy for the Chrisley men, and their struggles are no secret. Todd Chrisley’s eldest son from a previous marriage, Kyle, has battled substance abuse and mental health issues. He lost custody of his daughter, Chloe, who has long been raised by Todd and Julie. Chase Chrisley has also been candid about his substance issues and working through them. When his parents were convicted and sent away, he admittedly spiraled. He is now on a great path, as is his younger brother, Grayson.

While their parents were away, he began school at the University of Alabama. Savannah Chrisley moved him in and pimped out his room, ensuring that he had all he needed. Now that Todd and Julie Chrisley are free, they can be a part of this experience, including his big moments. Todd just shared that Grayson was nominated to the National Society of Leadership and Success. In the caption, Todd wrote this in celebration of his son:
- I’m so proud of you @graysonchrisley ,you are such a joy and blessing to our family and I love you with all my heart.
Todd Chrisley also shared a snap of the invitation and was clearly beaming with pride.

So many fans and followers were thrilled for Grayson and were celebrating right alongside Todd:
- Congratulations 🎊 My son went through that program at the community College I work at. We still offer it. Great leadership benefits ☺️
- Roll Tide y’all, and he’s a smarty pants too!
- I love Grayson ❤️ Hes humble & kind 😇
- Congratulations Grayson keep up the fantastic job you are doing 🎉🎊
Bubble Burst
As exciting as this was for Grayson and Todd Chrisley, there were a few “truth tellers” in the comments. They shared that many students receive the same invite and that it is a “pay-to-play” organization. Essentially, it is a cash grab, so they wanted Grayson to be warned:
- sorry todd – everyone gets these! my son at bama got one too but its about the $$
- I hate to burst your bubble, but many students receive these in the mail. It’s an honor society you have to pay to be a member of.
Regardless, it is exciting to see Grayson still in college and working his tail off. Despite all that he has been through with his parents, he has not given up, and that is key.
