Todd Chrisley has been combating a lot of rumors regarding Savannah Chrisley and her new marriage. One of the latest is that his daughter is a “gold digger,” but he joked that she chose the wrong time to pick that lifestyle. So, is she only with Jason for his money? Keep reading for more on what Todd had to say.
Todd Chrisley Is Fighting Back Against Trolls
It has been a long week since Savannah Chrisley announced that she was expecting her first baby. She also shared that she was engaged to Jason Galanis, but then his past resurfaced, and that became a hot topic. He had been sentenced to sixteen years behind bars, which was commuted by President Trump. It was then revealed that he and Savannah were not just engaged but actually married and had been since July 2026. Julie and Todd Chrisley had mixed emotions about everything, but they seem to be celebrating their grandson-to-be.

There have been a lot of questions surrounding Jason’s finances, given that he proposed with a $1.5 million ring. He is also 56, whereas Savannah is only 29, so she has been called a “gold digger.” However, Todd is clearing that right up. He took to his Two Sons and Me podcast, making it known that she is just fine on her own:
“It’s so crazy that people would say that she’s a gold digger when she has her own money. What do they think this girl has done her whole life, from the time that the cameras started rolling? What do they think she did with her clothing line, with her cosmetics, that she didn’t make money? What do they think about Good Girl RX? How do they think this woman lives?”
Todd Chrisley and his son, Grayson, also joked that she could have become a “gold digger” a lot earlier. He noted that he had to pay so many legal fees for his trial. Therefore, that would have been the opportune time for Savannah to find a wealthy man.
A Lucky Lady
Todd Chrisley added that Savannah Chrisley does not need anyone to take care of her financially. However, she was lucky enough to find someone who could do just that. Fans of the family wanted to celebrate the baby, and that was all they cared about. They believed that Savannah spent so much time taking care of others that it was time she did something for herself:
- I’m so excited for Savannah and wish her the best. She will be an amazing Mother
- Savannah deserves all the happiness life has to offer. She’s a a good girl. She really stepped up while her parents are away. She went above and beyond and got them out of prison. I’m glad for anyone doing well in life
