Tom Swift – Nancy Drew Spinoff Ordered Straight-to-Sequence by The CW

TV Shows

The CW has given a straight-to-series order to Tom Swift, based mostly on the basic e-book sequence Tom Swift, with a twist, for the 2021-22 season. Tom Swift comes from Nancy Drew co-creators/government producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, their Pretend Empire banner and CBS Studios.

Co-created by Melinda Hsu Taylor, Noga Landau and Cameron Johnson, Tom Swift follows the serialized adventures of its titular Black, homosexual, billionaire inventor (Richards) who’s thrust right into a world of sci-fi conspiracy and unexplained phenomena after the surprising disappearance of his father. Tom takes to the street on a quest to unravel the reality, forsaking the comforts of his regular moneyed life-style, all whereas preventing to remain one step forward of an Illuminati-scale group hell-bent on stopping him. Tom’s missions would require his genius and aptitude for innovation guided by love, romance, friendship and the mysteries of the universe yet-unsolved.
