Tristyn and Kamohai Kalama followed up the Season 3 finale of Renovation Aloha by welcoming an adorable new family member.
The HGTV stars wed in 2016 and share a daughter, Yasiel, and a son, Vale. The couple are also dog parents to a French bulldog named Biggy Smalls, named after The Notorious B.I.G. In a Monday, June 22, Instagram post, Tristyn and Kamohai revealed that they recently welcomed a new four-legged friends into their Hawaii home.
“We got Biggy Boy a puppy!” they captioned an adorable clip of themselves and their kids dancing with their new puppy to “Who Let the Dogs Out” by Baha Men. “Koa Bule Bear Kalama.”
Fans gushed over the adorable pup in the post’s comments, with one user writing, “Awww, he’s just so precious. Welcome to the multi-Frenchie world lol. You can never just have 1! We have 4.” Another joked, “Hope Y’ll realize that 2 Frenchies really justifies a 3rd Frenchie.”
Someone else shared, “I hope to see cute puppy on Renovation Aloha!!!” A different person posted, “He is adorable. He owns the house now haha.” A separate commenter gushed, “Omg so adorable!! And so are your outfits!!”
One fan asked, “How does the new puppy get along with Biggie?” In response, the couple noted that their two dogs have become “best friends.”
News of the family’s new puppy came on the heels of Tristyn’s sweet Father’s Day tribute to Kamohai. “Happy Father’s Day to our guy! The kids and I are beyond blessed and grateful that God chose you to be our guy,” she captioned a pic of her husband via Instagram on Sunday, June 21. “The guy who cooks, cleans, makes us laugh, is there whenever he is needed, goes above and beyond, is thoughtful, the guy who leads with patience, and so so much more. We love you more than words can express. Happy Father’s Day!!!”
Fans sent their own Father’s Day messages to Kamohai in the post’s comments, including the pair’s HGTV colleague Ty Pennington, who wrote, “Happy Father’s Day.” One person stated, “Happy Father’s Day to Kamohai, his dad, and your dad. God bless you all.” Another shared, “Happy Father’s Day, Kamohai!! tell your dad and father-in-law I said happy Father’s Day to them too and your brother-in-law Travis is going to be a father, so happy Father’s Day to all the men in the Kalama atmosphere!!”
In addition to welcoming their new puppy, Tristyn and Kamaohai are prepping to become an aunt and uncle. Back in April, the couple shared via Instagram that Tristyn’s brother, Travis Haxton, and his wife, Taylor Haxton, are expecting their first child.
“We are so excited to be having the family grow and to be aunty and uncle to such a beautiful blessing!!” they revealed on April 29. “You are so loved little one – aunty will teach you how to design and uncle will teach you how to buy houses! Congrats to @travis.haxton + @taylor.haxton.”
Renovation Aloha wrapped up its third season on Tuesday, June 16. Tristyn and Kamohai currently serve as judges on Season 5 of Battle on the Beach, which airs Mondays on HGTV.
