Season 7 of Unexpected is well underway, and the cast is already controversial. Viewers cannot believe that there is a thirteen-year-old father on the show and that his girlfriend’s mother has no boundaries. However, a fifth family was initially cast and filmed all the way through delivery until they quit ahead of the premiere. So, what happened? Keep reading for more details.
A Fifth Family Was Cast, But Quit Last Minute
There are four couples on this season of Unexpected. Amya and Jose are both sixteen, as are Jessie and Mia. Isabella and Bryce are eighteen, while Bella is fifteen and Hunter is thirteen. They are considered extremely controversial and ended the last episode with another pregnancy scare.
Bella’s parents, especially her mother, Falen, have been called out for enabling her and Hunter. She has no boundaries, so it would be no surprise if they found themselves pregnant a second time. As tainted as they can be, apparently, another young girl was cast on the show alongside Bella. She was just fourteen and from Springdale, Utah, when she found out she was pregnant. Additionally, her sister, 20, was also pregnant. This sounds a lot like Bella and her sister, who are four years apart and pregnant together.
In any case, Karina, the fourteen-year-old’s mother, spoke up. She made a video and shared that they filmed all the way to the delivery room. Yet, afterward, things went down with her husband, who was a police officer. Apparently, he had been chewing his fingernails and spitting them in Karina’s face. That was when a fight broke out among the family, and a gun was pulled. He proceeded to aim it at the ceiling and threatened to “blow someone’s brain” if they came toward him.

It seems that all of the adults had been drinking, but because he had been the one who started it, he was arrested on six counts of domestic violence in the presence of a minor. As for his job as an officer, Mayor Barbara Bruno shared this:
“He’s been placed on leave, and future determination of his status will come after an internal investigation.”
Because of what happened, Karina and her family dropped out of Unexpected, which did make sense.
Soured Friendship
Karina and her family had been friends with Bella and Falen, but what happened when they left Unexpected? It seems that their friendship soured as Karina shared how Falen blocked her on social media. Some fans noted that Falen would have flipped had another young teenager taken the spotlight:
- Fallen would freak out! She wants to be on TV more than anything else
Others could not believe who TLC is casting for these shows. It feels like they have no boundaries, and all they care about is exploitation.
