It’s time for America’s vote! Season 28 of Big Brother just announced the BB Timecapsule, which is a new twist that will impact the game.
The twist was announced on the July 10 episode of Big Brother: Unlocked. Hosts Taylor Hale, Derrick Levasseur, and Jerry O’Connell unleashed the new power at the end of the episode, and fans will have a say in it.

What is the BB Timecapsule?
The BB Timecapsule is a new twist that is voted on by the fans. Each week, the Houseguest who gets the most votes will enter the Timecapsule and either earn a power or suffer a punishment from seasons’ past.
The top vote-getter will play a fast-paced game to try to earn the power. However, there are six punishments and six powers up for grabs, so they have an equal shot to win either.
Who is eligible for the BB Timecapsule?
All of the Houseguests are eligible to win the power. However, whenever someone enters the Timecapsule, they are not eligible to enter it again.
How can you vote for the BB Timecapsule?
Head to CBS.com/BBvote to cast your vote. Each fan gets five votes per email address. However, if you watch an ad, you can earn five extra votes. Sharing to Facebook or X, gives you five more votes for a total of 15 votes per day.
They can be split between all of the Houseguests or just one. It is up to you! But make sure to vote every day until it closes on July 17 at 9am PST/12pm EST.
When do they enter the Timecapsule?
The first Houseguest will enter the Timecapsule on Friday, July 17, after voting closes. It is not clear when it will be shown on TV, but it would most likely be on that Sunday’s episode. The second one will most likely happen the next Friday and so on.
