There’s another new drama series coming to USA Network. The network has announced a greenlight order for Diplomatic Immunity, an hour-long medical drama with an international twist from Covert Affairs bosses Matt Corman and Chris Ord.

What is Diplomatic Immunity about?
The series’ official description tells us, “Diplomatic Immunity centers on a young American doctor who is suddenly assigned to the medical office at the U.S. Embassy in Rome. He finds himself encountering challenging medical cases that require him to navigate diplomacy, government personalities, and geopolitical situations – all while managing the romantic entanglements set against the thrill of a new life in a new country.”
Who stars in Diplomatic Immunity?
At this time, no cast list for the series has been announced by USA Network. Matt Corman and Chris Ord will executive produce and serve as showrunners on the series. It’s being produced by Fox Entertainment Studios and distributed by Fox Entertainment Global.

What else is there to know about Diplomatic Immunity?
The series marks a reunion between Corman and Ord and USA Network after Covert Affairs, which ran for five seasons on the network from 2010 to 2015.
In a statement, Versant’s president of entertainment, Val Boreland, said of the news, “USA Network has always been a home for compelling, character-driven storytelling, and Diplomatic Immunity delivers that with a fresh, global point of view. “We’re thrilled to reunite with Matt and Chris on this smart drama that blends high-stakes medical cases, international intrigue, and romance in a way that feels perfectly at home on the network.”
Meanwhile, Corman and Ord added, “This is an amazing full-circle moment for us. To be reunited with all the talented folks at USA is an absolute dream, and the brilliant team at FOX are the perfect studio partners for this Roman adventure.”
