‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Secures Vanna White, How Long?

TV Shows

Wheel of Fortune has secured Vanna White after long contract negotiations but for how long? This has felt like a neverending battle for Vanna. Yet, it seems to have come to an end but what exactly are the terms of this all-new contract and did she get what she wanted? Read on for more details.

Wheel Of Fortune Secures Vanna White, How Long?

It has been a rough time for Vanna White. First, her longtime Wheel of Fortune companion, Pat Sajak was retiring after Season 41. Then, she was having serious contract issues. She had not gotten a raise in nearly two decades. That meant she was making three million dollars compared to Pat’s fifteen million per year. She wanted more money whereas it seemed that those in control wanted to make this the last contract that they ever negotiated for Vanna. Keeping that in mind, it had to be solid, allowing her to be fazed out somewhere down the line while being fairly compensated.

It looked like things were so close for Vanna White but it was so uncertain. Now, the deal has been sealed. Fortunately, it will help make Pat’s transition much smoother when Ryan Seacrest takes over. According to TV Line, Vanna has sealed the deal and will be sticking with the game show for two more years. That means her contract takes her through 2026, one more with Pat and two seasons with Seacrest. The new host really wanted to have Vanna by his side, as well.

“I love Vanna White. I’ve known Vanna for a long time. We sat in important places next to each other. And I hope for nothing more than to be able to walk out on that stage and host with her,” he shared. Now, he will get his wish. As for how much of a pay bump Vanna will get, that is unclear as of now. Hopefully, she will get exactly what she wants as she has fought long and hard. More so, she will keep the familiarity for the long-running game show.

Saying Goodbye

It will not be easy for viewers to say goodbye to Pat Sajak when 2024 comes around. They have had him there since 1981 after Chuck Woolery departed. Vanna White joined the following year. Having Vanna stick around for two seasons beyond will be great for viewers. Then, when the time comes, for her to leave, it might be easier for fans. Though they said they wanted this to be Vanna’s final contract, it is also unclear if that is the case.

Are you happy that she is going to be on for a few more years? Do you want her to leave or is it a good thing she secured her contract? Let us know in the comments below.
