Where To Watch ‘Gilmore Girls’ After It Leaves Netflix

- Advertisment -

Fans were devastated to find out Gilmore Girls was leaving Netflix. After being on the streaming platform for years, everyone is wondering how they will binge their favorite comfort show. Luckily, it didn’t go far. Keep reading to find out how to watch Gilmore Girls now that it’s leaving Netflix.

Gilmore Girls leaves Netflix

It’s never a good feeling when a show says “leaving soon” on a popular show. That’s exactly what Gilmore Girls fans experienced just a few weeks ago. The iconic show that follows Lorelai, Rory, Luke, Kirk and the whole Stars Hollow crew, has been on Netflix since 2014 and is scheduled to leave on June 30. The show has a massvie following, so it’s not a shock that fans were devastated to find out it was leaving.

Luckily for fans though, it didn’t go far. According to The Sun, the show is moving over to Amazon Prime. While it’s frustrating for fans to have to get yet another streaming platform, it is more convenient than hunting down DVDs for all seven seasons.

Will Netflix Lose Subscribers?

Unfortunately for Netflix, a lot of subscribers were only paying for their subscription because of Gilmore Girls. With it leaving the website, so are many paying customers. Fans took to social media to discuss.

“Pour one (cup of coffee) out: ‘Gilmore Girls’ is leaving Netflix US after 12 years (June 30, 2026),” the post reads making a humerous connection to the mother daughter duo’s love for a hot cup of coffee.

Everyone in the comments expressed their opinions. Most are incredibly sad to see it go while others just started watching for the first time and now won’t get to finish.

  • Literally just started watching for the first time lol. Sorry everyone
  • It’ll show up somewhere else. Where they lead, I will follow.

Others are pointing out that they will no longer be subscribing to Netflix now that the show is gone.

  • I’ve been a Netflix subscriber since like 2006 but have wanted to cancel for a few years now because “that $10/m subscription I now use sometimes” has ballooned to more than double the cost. Gilmore Girls was the one thing my wife watched so damn often that i couldn’t pull the trigger.…maybe now im free.
  • So it looks like Netflix wants to lose more subscribers.

Only time will tell if Netflix regrets the decision to get rid of Gilmore Girls. It sounds like Amazon Prime, however, will be getting an influx of subscribers.

Will you be getting an Amazon Prime membership to watch Gilmore Girls? Are you going to cancel your Netflix subscription? Let us know in the comments below. Come back to TV Shows Ace for more updates on all of your favorite TV shows.
